GTA 6 — November 19, 2026 · Coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series.
The main official details revealed about the game so far.
On November 19, 2026, the world returns to Vice City. Rockstar Games is releasing Grand Theft Auto VI — the first major entry in the series in thirteen years. The date is officially confirmed: first for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (PCWorld, GamesHub). Preload starts November 12, 2026, and the first major cinematic reveal — GTA 6: An Extended Look — landed on Netflix and YouTube on August 27, 2026 (GamesHub). This isn't just a new map or a cosmetic refresh. This is a return to Vice City 24 years after the legendary 2002 chapter — and the largest game Rockstar has ever built. GTA 6 is set in the fictional state of Leonida, a reimagined Florida. The center of the map is a modern Vice City. But the game reaches well beyond it: islands, wetlands, national parks, resort towns, industrial zones and wilderness surround the city (GamesHub). Rockstar has officially named six locations: Vice City — the central neon-lit metropolis, heir to Miami. Leonida Keys — a chain of islands south of the city. Grassrivers — swampy wilderness. Port Gellhorn — a port town beyond Vice City. Ambrosia — another settlement in the state. Mount Kalaga National Park — a scenic natural area to explore. Rockstar hasn't revealed the exact size of the map, but calls it "the biggest and most immersive evolution" of Grand Theft Auto ever built (GamesHub). After GTA 5 kept players hooked for thirteen years, the bar is set very high. For the first time in Grand Theft Auto history, the player follows two protagonists — partners in crime and in life. Lucia Caminos is the first female protagonist in the mainline series. Her father taught her to fight. She ended up in Leonida Penitentiary after standing up for her family. As the game begins, Lucia is walking out of prison and trying to change her life. She isn't waiting for luck — she's going to take it (GamesHub). Grand Theft Auto VI. Everything you need to know — and what to play it on
Jason Duval grew up around criminals, joined the army to escape that world, and ended up right back in it — this time in the Leonida Keys. He lives in a house owned by smuggler Brian Heder and works for local drug runners. Meeting Lucia could be the best or the worst thing that ever happened to him (GamesHub). A simple job they try to pull off goes sideways, and they're forced to rely on each other just to stay alive. Their relationship is the spine of the whole story, not a side note. Based on what's been shown, the player switches between Jason and Lucia — much like in GTA 5, but with a far tighter connection between the two (GamesHub). One of GTA 6's boldest ideas is a fictional social network woven into Leonida itself. It already dominated the first trailer: vertical videos, short-form livestreams, viral clips from all across the state (GamesHub). Social feeds don't look like decoration — they look like they'll drive the plot. Characters stream, film each other, become memes. The rap duo Real Dimez builds fame through viral tracks and social media. Vice City lives under a phone camera, the way real cities do in the 2020s. The world isn't just Jason and Lucia. Rockstar has confirmed other characters too: Cal Hampton, Jason's friend who monitors coast-guard chatter; Boobie Ike, a Vice City businessman with real estate, a strip club and a recording studio; Dre'Quan Priest, trying to move from the street into music; Raul Bautista, a veteran bank robber looking for a new crew (GamesHub). Rockstar isn't showing the full mechanics yet, but the trailers and the Extended Look have revealed a lot (GamesHub): Heists that the two characters plan together. Police pursuits through streets and swamps. Motorcycles, cars, boats and aircraft. Vice City nightlife — clubs, neon, crowds. Vehicle modification in tuning shops. Clothing stores, salons, a tattoo parlor. Massive NPC crowds in the city and on the coast. Natural areas — from the national park to the Grassrivers swamps. Rockstar has also announced an Ultimate Edition with exclusive vehicles (including a '95 Grotti Cheetah), Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, Vice City clothing styles, and access to Rideout Customs mod shop, Sara's Unisex Salon and Stock 305 Clothing Store (GamesHub).
On November 19, 2026, the game launches on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. There won't be a PS4 or Xbox One version (GamesHub). Rockstar officially describes the release as single- player — no new version of GTA Online has been announced. A PC version has not been announced. Historically, Rockstar releases its biggest titles on consoles first and follows up with PC roughly a year to eighteen months later: that was the pattern with GTA 5, and with Red Dead Redemption 2 (GamesHub). Take-Two explains this by pointing to the console GTA audience as its priority. The rough guess for PC is 2027, but there is no specific date, and any "leaked" PC dates should be treated as rumor (PCWorld). Two takeaways: 1. On day one, GTA 6 is playable only on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. 2. If you want to meet the PC version fully equipped, this is the moment to start preparing your machine. Current hardware won't get cheaper by the time PC arrives, and repair shops will be swamped in the first month after launch. Official GTA 6 system requirements do not exist. Rockstar hasn't published them, and can't — the PC version isn't announced (GamesHub, Eneba). Every "GTA 6 requirements" table floating around the web is a prediction. Those predictions rest on three things (Eneba): the hardware inside PS5 and Xbox Series X, which sets the performance floor; the history of Rockstar's RAGE engine and how it scaled to PC in past titles; comparisons to the AAA games of the last two or three years. Based on those predictions, the picture looks like this (Eneba):
These are not Rockstar's numbers — they're a reasonable read of what the console baseline implies. When the official specs land, some values may shift, but the overall shape won't change much.
| Tier | CPU | GPU | Memory and storage |
| Minimum, 1080p / 30-40 fps | Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i5-9600K | RTX 2060 or RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM) | 16 GB RAM + 150 GB SSD (NVMe preferred) |
| Recommended, 1440p / 60 fps | Ryzen 7 5800X or Core i7-12700K | RTX 4070 or RX 7800 XT (12 GB+ VRAM) | 32 GB DDR5 + 150 GB NVMe Gen 4 |
| Ultra, 4K / 60+ fps | Ryzen 7 9800X3D or Core i9-14900K | RTX 5080 or RTX 4090 (16 GB+ VRAM) | 32-64 GB DDR5 + 200 GB NVMe Gen 4/5 |
Even if PC arrives in 2027, waiting until the last minute is a mistake. Here's what to look at. Graphics card. This is the bottleneck 90% of the time. Anything below an RTX 2060 or an RX 5600 XT almost certainly won't run GTA 6 even at minimum settings. If you're on a GTX 1060, GTX 1070 or GTX 1650, you already know what needs to change first. For 1080p, aim for an RTX 4060 or RTX 5060 with 8 GB. For 1440p, at minimum an RTX 4070 or RX 7800 XT with 12–16 GB. RAM. Less than 16 GB isn't worth trying. 16 GB is the bare minimum. Real comfort begins at 32 GB, especially with a browser, Discord and streaming running in parallel. CPU. Anything older than a Ryzen 5 3600 or a Core i5-9600K is questionable. Top-tier GPUs will bottleneck on an aging CPU and deliver half of what they could. If you're on LGA 1151, early AM4 or 8th-gen Intel, you're almost certainly looking at a motherboard, memory and CPU swap together. Storage. GTA 6 will be large. Estimates start around 150 GB (Eneba). Putting it on an HDD is pointless — load times will be terrible and world streaming will stutter. You need an SSD, ideally NVMe. Best case: a dedicated 1 TB or 2 TB NVMe for games. Power supply and cooling. GPU upgrades often stall on an old PSU without the right connectors or headroom. An RTX 4070 wants a quality 650–750 W unit; an RTX 5080 wants 850 W and up. Add a case with real airflow — GTA 6 will keep your system hot for hours at a time. Windows and drivers. GTA 6 will almost certainly require Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit) with current updates. Older Windows 7/8 builds are out of the picture. The practical logic is simple: on a 2019–2020 PC with a Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2060, you're looking at minimum settings after a GPU swap and a RAM top-up. On a 2015–2017 PC with a GTX 970 or GTX 1060, it's cheaper to build fresh than to patch it piece by piece. Here are four builds pconelab assembles specifically for GTA 6. Each one is built around a specific way of playing the game, not around "just a powerful PC." Exact prices and configs live on the price page and over WhatsApp at 053-701-2069. Who it's for: you want to launch GTA 6, play on a 1080p TV or monitor, and not overpay for what you won't use. Smooth medium-to-high settings without stutter are the goal. What's inside (approximate): Ryzen 5 7600 or Core i5-13400F, RTX 4060 or RTX 5060 8 GB, 16 GB DDR5, 1 TB NVMe SSD, 650 W PSU, quiet air cooling. Why this way: it's the reasonable floor for GTA 6, not a cheap build that'll sag in a year. The GPU handles 1080p 60 fps in current titles, DDR5 keeps the upgrade path open, and NVMe kills load- time complaints. Plus the PSU has headroom — if you want to upgrade the GPU in a year, you only replace the GPU.
Leonida Keys — the entry point
What it protects you from: the temptation to build even cheaper on an old DDR4 platform with a GTX 1660. That will boot the game — and choke on memory and bandwidth from day one. Who it's for: you play on a 1440p monitor, want a stable 60+ fps at high settings, and want the Vice City neon to look the way Rockstar intended. You play regularly and don't want to reopen the case a year from now. What's inside (approximate): Ryzen 7 7700X or Core i7-14700F, RTX 4070 Super or RTX 5070 12 GB, 32 GB DDR5, 1–2 TB Gen 4 NVMe, 750 W PSU, tower air cooler or AIO. Why this way: this is exactly the "recommended" tier of predicted requirements — 1440p, 60 fps, comfortable high settings (Eneba). 32 GB isn't overkill; it's the 2026–2027 baseline. Open tabs and Discord stop costing you frames. A Gen 4 NVMe handles world streaming — Leonida is huge and it loads on the fly. What it protects you from: cutting memory or buying an 8 GB GPU at 1440p. 8 GB of VRAM is already a wall in current titles, and by the time GTA 6 hits PC, it'll be a bigger one. Who it's for: you have a 4K monitor, or you want to stream GTA 6 to Twitch/YouTube while playing without losing frames. You're buying a machine for four or five years and don't want to think about upgrades mid-playthrough. What's inside (approximate): Ryzen 7 9800X3D or Core i9-14900K, RTX 4080 Super or RTX 5080 16 GB, 32–64 GB DDR5, 2 TB Gen 4/5 NVMe, 850–1000 W PSU, 280–360 mm AIO. Why this way: 4K is a VRAM and GPU story first. 16 GB of GPU memory isn't a luxury, it's insurance — modern engines already hit 12 GB at 4K. AMD's X3D chips historically deliver the highest frame rates in Rockstar's open worlds, where cache behavior matters. The big PSU and big AIO aren't for show — they're what keeps the system stable across four-hour summer sessions. What it protects you from: the classic mistake of pairing a 4K GPU with 16 GB of RAM or a SATA SSD. The bottleneck moves, it doesn't disappear. Who it's for: you remember that GTA 5 lived thirteen years, and you know GTA 6 will do the same. You're building not for launch but for the entire lifetime of this game: mods, the eventual online mode, ray tracing, VR experiments, whatever major update Rockstar drops in year three. What's inside (approximate): Ryzen 9 9950X3D or Core i9-14900K, RTX 5090 24 GB (or the flagship of the next generation at build time), 64 GB DDR5, two Gen 5 NVMe drives (system and games), 1000–1200 W 80+ Platinum PSU, custom loop or top-tier 360 mm AIO, a case with proper airflow. Vice City Nights — 1440p comfort Grand Heist — 4K and streaming Mount Kalaga — a decade ahead
Why this way: this is a machine that won't sag when Rockstar drops a major update or the successor to GTA Online — and Rockstar has confirmed it's building a creator platform and pipeline for user content (GamesHub). The point isn't max fps today. The point is that five years from now, this config is still relevant, and ten years from now, it still plays. What it protects you from: the "spend on the GPU, save on everything else" trap. At this tier, PSU, memory and storage matter just as much. We build these four configurations for GTA 6 out of our workshop in Netanya. What's included: Component selection tailored to your budget and monitor. Assembly, stability testing, CPU/GPU/RAM stress tests. Windows install, current drivers, cooling profile setup. Compatibility check with your existing peripherals. Warranty and post-purchase support. If you already have a PC and want to know what actually needs to change — bring it in for diagnostics. We'll break it down: what to keep, what to replace, what to sell while it still has value, and what has already dropped out of the game. Upgrading is often cheaper than replacing everything — but only when it's done with eyes open. For any of the four builds or a diagnostic on your current machine, message WhatsApp 053-701- 2069 or call 09-8345676. Address: נתניה ,18 לבון פנחס. Hours: Sunday 09:00–19:00, Monday– Thursday 10:00–19:00, Friday 09:00–14:00, closed for break 13:30–15:00. November 19, 2026 on consoles. Somewhere in 2027 on PC. Vice City opens twice: first for PS5 and Xbox players, then for the rest of us. The one thing you can actually do ahead of time is avoid the situation where the game is out and your machine can't run it at all. Start preparing now — and on PC launch day, you just click Play.
