What's new in the state of Leonida

GTA 6 is set in the fictional state of Leonida, a reimagined Florida. The center of the map is a modern Vice City.

But the game reaches well beyond it: islands, wetlands, national parks, resort towns, industrial zones and wilderness surround the city (GamesHub).

Rockstar has officially named six locations:

Vice City — the central neon-lit metropolis, heir to Miami.

Leonida Keys — a chain of islands south of the city.

Grassrivers — swampy wilderness.

Port Gellhorn — a port town beyond Vice City.

Ambrosia — another settlement in the state.

Mount Kalaga National Park — a scenic natural area to explore.

Rockstar hasn't revealed the exact size of the map, but calls it "the biggest and most immersive evolution" of Grand Theft Auto ever built (GamesHub). After GTA 5 kept players hooked for thirteen years, the bar is set very high.
