GTA 6 on consoles. And why PC players are waiting

On November 19, 2026, the game launches on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. There won't be a PS4 or Xbox One version (GamesHub).

Rockstar officially describes the release as single- player — no new version of GTA Online has been announced.

A PC version has not been announced. Historically, Rockstar releases its biggest titles on consoles first and follows up with PC roughly a year to eighteen months later: that was the pattern with GTA 5, and with Red Dead Redemption 2 (GamesHub).

Take-Two explains this by pointing to the console GTA audience as its priority. The rough guess for PC is 2027, but there is no specific date, and any "leaked" PC dates should be treated as rumor (PCWorld).
